first time we had used doncaster/sheffield airport and a thomson flight, but all went smoothly, flights on time, no queuing , and the plane food wasnt too bad!
found the ICR driver holding a board with my name on it at dalaman ( i love that bit) and had a quick exit, the cold bottles of water were much needed, and the views that met us, once again made me smile

arrived at our apartments in just under an hour and 30 mins....but i was in quite abit of pain with my bad neck, just through to much travelling....so i felt quite down..
wont mention the apartments much except to say, sunbed situation was just mental!!!!!!! and this year it could have ben cleaner!!!
but it could also have been alot worse, and we still had a great time!!!
just walking around the pool, and saw some mad woman shouting "karen"
bless, i had just met annief!!!!!

so that called for a drink, the boys had a large efes -4 lira, we girls had a mariachi ( sort of lemon beer and lovely)- 5 lira, and the kids had pop - 3lira
over the 2 weeks we had some beautiful meals, especially at bullshits, the travellers rest, and the waterfall.....
and we couldnt believe the first night we arrived that people in icmeler recognised us from last year

the exchange rate was rubbish, 2.1.......the food has gone up, the clothes etc have really risen in price, and some items are now more expensive than england, but it just means you may have to look around abit.
dont buy suncream over there, its very expensive, although items from the tansas, like soap, shower gel, deoderants etc, arnt badly priced and could easily be got once you arrive
annief and her family, plus hubby and my daughter did the ICR jeep safari,
they had a wonderful, wonderful day, didnt see any blue fish, came back filty, but with big grins!!
my only concern was that there was 9 squashed into the jeep, i feel this is too many .
we also took the taxi to TURUNC, - 30 lira, should have been 50..its a beautiful place, and we had a lovely meal there, the got the water taxi back- 7.5 lira each
i took my goodies to the office, so the kids at the orphanage will have another big parcel arriving soon as donna tells me they have quite a collection again......
we did bullshits boat trip, and had a wonderful day, i am terrified of deep water, but i managed to go in the sea with the aid of a woggle!! so the first time in my life i can say i swam in the sea!!! i was mega chuffed with myself!
we had only one awful meal and that was at melissa,s bar, oh, the waiters were lovely, the service good, but the food was practically inedible.
the weather was hot, although most days we had a lovely breeze, it just couldnt have been any better.....
i will go back next year, but i fear that will be the last year, the prices are going up, and the amount of BOOM BOOM bars is just plain annoying.......
they all try and out do one another with louder music,
the bloke at the old baron, now 23, is a total muppet, and continued to shout at us every day....even to the point of telling us he couldnt wait for us to go home, as we werent coming into his restaurant!
and a couple of places had small boys aged under 10 i think dancing like the older waiters, taking there shirts of and doing suggestive dances.....totally wrong, and couldnt watch it.......

and lastly, if you stayed at the palm gardens, wore a bikini, with full make up, often went topless, and tottered around the pool in 5 inch stilletos, well, what can i say, you gave me hours of amusment, aswell as most of the complex......
