Can't place the first pic but feel I should know what it was before. Also is the Botanic Bar what used to be the Magic Garden?

The first pic I think used to be the Holiday Inn.
The Botanic is a new bar just below the Uston Aparts on the other side of the road.

It looks like the Fess bar as turned into a restaurant, i used to love going in there up to last year, the family who rented it were very nice and always had live music on, 2 years ago they had a group from Georgia (former soviet union) and they were brilliant, but i always thougt it was in a bad position to attract lots of customers, most people who past it were on their way to the Stella show, it's a shame, i think there are enough restaurants in Icmeler but not many places with live music.

Quaker, We also used to go to Fess Bar up to a couple of years ago. I remember the duo you are talking about, they were really good. Went in for a drink last year but it was very quiet although we were made very welcome. Might give it another go this year

Istanbul was closed with nothing in it when we were there from 16th to 22nd May!

Just goes to show what can happen over there in a short space of time!

Dotty the the Fess bar has had some decent duos on in the last few years, but it is a 4 or 5 piece group that we used to go and see in September 2007,they all had their wives/girlfriends and children with them, they were really good and the bar was doing it's best business that i had seen since we have been going in, as i said there have been some decent turns on but most people would just walk past, it was a shame really.

As Sue pointed out the Holiday Inn is still there, I have looked through the old pictures and it is the Fashion Restaurent that has got a new name.

The holiday resturant is near the selen2 if you are on the main road with tansas at your back cross over go down the road where the red lion is on the corner it`s about 100yards down on the left. Also on this street is the selam this is another cracking place to eat.Hope this helps

cheers unitedman57
know just where to find it now, we had a couple of great meals in the Selam last year
it's on the same road as the Dursun aparts then I think?

you know how it is when you're there, you spot all these great places that have been recommended on the forum and then other things get in the way of your best intentions to call in hehehe
