Thanks for those, Donna - it's strange (but interesting!) to see Icmeler without her usual summer clothing!

Thats weird Colette because I said exactly the same thing about the bar that you did.

Seems that the reputation has stuck like tar even with a name change

What was the LFC bar before hand ?

I find it very strange that they should name a bar LFC and have it as a Liverpool theme bar, I cant imagine many Man Utd fans going in, nor any other rival supporters, Im a spurs fan i wouldnt go in there. Competition is hard enough between the bars without alienating most of your possible punters.

If they called it 'The Premier' and had all shirts and scarves in there it wouls appeal to many and attract us footie fans for games etc.

I et this will not be there very long!

maybe when another English team wins the European cup 5 times they might name a bar after them as Liverpool has got then all over the world why are people so bitter

I could not care less what a bar is called as long as food is good and Effes is reasonable but then I have no affinity with anything remotely concerned with football. I really hope the bar does not fail JUST because of its name.

Gayle the bar has not been named the Liverpool bar because we won it five times, we won it five times, in Istanbul we won it five times  sorry couldn't resist it.

It has been named that because they hear so many Liverpool accents and hope to attract them or maybe a Liverpool lady has thrown some money in as usually happens.

There is a Scotia bar in Icmeler hopefully to attract our friends from North of the border (the proper border and not Watford Gap) and there is the Ibrox bar in Marmaris and directly facing that the Anfield bar, Yorkshire Pride in Marmaris, also the Stretton End so whether they work I don't know but good luck to them all.

Well, hailing from north of the border, we'll certainly be popping into the Scotia bar! I can see why some folk might have reservations about frequenting a place which has obviously identified itself with a particular football club though. Sad as it may seem to some folk, that will put some people off...

The thing is had it of been named "The Liverpool Bar" then I would of frequented it, but being a true Evertonian, I won't be seen going into an LFC bar

so is this the old baron bar or is it further along from there as dinky cath said-I can sort of see how it could be the old baron bar but not sure...just to add, I am a geordie but I think I would still venture into the LFC bar-not as often as I venture into the Geordie Bar but I would give it a go...!!

Its as Cath says, it's a bit further along opposite the police station :D
