Fantastic pictures, just look how still the sea is,no wind at all.
Makes me want to consider booking a christmas break to our favourite resort.

Merhaba Jack and Sylvia, great weather we had there in icmeler over xmas, i hope you enjoyed your stay, i am waiting for flights to come out for xmas 08. Your photos show how nice the days were, although warm cloths were in order for the evening. Pretty sure i saw you in the Florida restaurant.
Sorry Gene, i cheated on my Lady Efes, for a tall dark Mistress Guinness.

I do believe the cafe is on the road out of Icmeler to Marmaris. I used to walk up there most days for a spot of lunch....and the odd efes or two :)

I think originally it was called the Black Rock, but has since had various names.

Fabulous photos - the sea is like a millpond - oh to be there now!

Kerry - the cafe is the Cafe Del Mar, the views are stunning from here, it's especially lovely by night if you just want a quiet drink - it's one of my favourite places - the view over Icmeler bay with the lights and moon reflecting on the still sea is beautiful.

It's only about a 10 or 15 minute stroll from the bottom of the main canal - when you get to the last bridge/beach turn left and walk the path which takes you past the Laguna Hotel (with the big palm tress on the beach) keep going up a small incline, past a car park and a public toilet block and you're there.

Well worth the effort to get there as you can see from the photos.

Sue

We'll all be looking forward to seeing your photos from the Cafe Del Mar in due course.... all the photos you've uploaded on here are fantastic and are bringing back lovely, lovely memories... and of course everyone else's are too!!

Me.... I've never got my camera on me when I want it!!! I've decided I'm going to downsize and get one that will actually fit in my handbag and then I'll always be prepared!!

Hi Mazz Glad the photo's gave you some good memories. Will do my best to oblige in May. After all you can only paint so much can't you when the Magic Kingdom beckons!! Besides with all those paint fumes clogging my lungs I will of course have to get some fresh air and also swallow a few Efes to help with the dry throat  which will obviously entail a walk along the seafront.

I downsized my camera for the same reason. Can't be doing with stripes from camera straps etc when I'm trying to encourage my sickly white skin to tan.
