2007 Holiday been and gone

Postby red wine » 20 Sep 2007 12:08

This time we went for 16 days and the Holiday has flown by, that just goe's to show how relaxing it was and enjoyable :)

Met up with many old faces and new, it's great when you are remembered, like when we took Jimmy {okimo} a T-Towel with our Town on it Jimmy gave us a free drink as a jesture that we returned to his bar to say hello :)

Places we ate @ :

The Set {only once on the 1st night as we thought not as good this year as before}

Wayside

Cubana

Rainbow

Robin Hood

Ozzy's

Waterfall

Got stitched for drinks at the Cafe on the main Road {2 small coffee's and small Tea with powdered milk 9 lira}, paid the bill but won't be going back there again.

All the other places we ate and drank at were excellent value and always got big meals and free breakfasts or lunch the following day's.

Visited Olu Deniz and Fethiye for the day, ok for a day trip for us but not Holiday and really can't see what all the fuss was about.

Here are some pictures we took {over 1600 but not posting all of them}

PS. Pick up at the Airport was spot on but coming back 1 family didn't want to get in and leave Icmeler, must have taken them over 10 minutes to get in the bus.

Excellent photos-really good!

We always make a point of having a meal in the set bar and this year we were really gutted-it wasnt a patch on the last three years... it was still really busy but I know there was a few people we ahve spoke to this year who said the same-its such a shame because it is usually so nice :cry:

Thumbs up for the nice comments, Gail how did you know it was Tim who sorted the photo's, call you Angela Lansbury :lol:

I think 21 days would go by too quickly let alone 16 days.

Colette we have a video clip of the plane landing, I might post that later {if you can stand babys screaming and cacky nappies} :D

It was a great shame about the SET restaraunt as we must have been there 4 times last year but only the 1 time this year :?

Hopefully they might read posts on the internet and take note.

thank you - thank you - thank you. It's cold and damp, I'm tired and weary tonight but have just been taken back to the sun, fun and just relaxing through your photos. The quality is excellent and the angles and shots are superb. Off to bed to dream now.

Bec I watched them getting built over the last two years and I keep getting this niggle about the apartments and the pool.

Imagibe a family from hell buying one and you can't use the pool becuase of it and what if they are all rented out to tourists from hell hahahahaha.

If I was going to go into a complex like that then there are some a lot lot cheaper up the road just past the Mosque :wink:
