does anyone know why when they have the sand up to stop it being washed away during winter storms they dont replace it with nicer sand ? i am sure it would encourage more people to icmeler.

colette the photo you were enquiring about was taken from cafe del mar just down from cans cafe, im not sure why they pile up the sand, maybe so they dont lose so much in the winter with tides, maybe rami knows the answer to this one ? weather was lovely especially for winter, the new harbour is finished as you can see from the pics.People will start returning around March to start getting all the restaurants and bars ready, and we will keep you updated on all the new ones.

see you all soon :D

Thanks for the lovely pictures Sharon.
It must be strange for you to be there in the winter months when the place is so quiet and desolate . Do you sometimes feel like orphan Annie ?

The photo's are wonderful thank you :D the weather looks beautiful i live in Weymouth and our beach is empty of deck chairs, childrens rides and the famous sand man, but it wont be long before we have it all out again end of March for all the holiday makers.

I see the pictures you sent and it brings back wonderful memories, when i take my early morning walk i pass the cafe, the view is gorgeous. Role on June till i get to see the pictures in reality :D

Although it is only 7 months before I am there are, these photos did bring a lump to my throat. It's sad to see the place so empty.
