Red Tape unfortunatly!!. Back home we would have to notify the council. Submit plans and a design and access statement, wait for their validation,, 4 weeks, then wait for their approval,, 8 weeks. In the meantime we will need a Risk Assement report and a Method statement. Also need a licensce to work at height, work in an area where the general public may have access. Will also need a certified company to install scaffold and instal safety barriers to ensure the general public are safe. Also will need to get a licesnce to remove the fire damaged materials and dispose of them in a land fill site, if they cannot be recycled. There may also be asbestos materials in the existing building so will need to get specialist firm to visit and carry out a survey, which will identify which type and how to proceed with removal if any is found. Need i say more!! Great Britian know wonder we are bust. I love Turkey.
