The 2011 season has just finished in Icmeler and though this year I have had a few strange visits from various creatures such as goats, robins, blackbirds, spiders as big as my hand, scorpions, giant toads and even a few snakes in the grass, this one was the most interesting

John you might not believe me but its the first time I saw your photo tonight and thought....praying mantis....isn't that the one where the female eats the male ...or maybe just kills him after mating?
