Progress on "new" canal

First photo was taken from canal end (Florida) of the road and the second looking back towards The Florida. The Blue Fox retaurant can be seen in the background which shows how far they have progressed,

There doesn't look much room for a road, will it be one way or pedestrianised I wonder ?

This once drainage ditch now " new canal ," looks from the older photo to the update photo ,as if its being covered as it progresses, perhaps when we all arrive in icmeler there will be nothing to see, only a new wider pathway.

OMG what a mess.

I have been going to Icmeler twice a year for the past 16 years and cant believe that the stalls have gone and now this

Can someone tell the new Mayor to STOP.

Last years changes to the restaurants/cafe's on the beach front were awful and now it appears he's at it again.

Does anyone know what's happening to the bridge on the beach front :?:

Hi. You, like the rest of us are peeved about the stalls by the canal being demolished, but if you read the forum on this subject you would find out that it is NOT the mayor who has done this, but the Council. Apparently, it was the complaints from local hotel guests that started this roll on the stall demolition. They said that there was too much noise and hastle. All that is happening to the bridges on the beach from what I can gather, is that they are being widened to accommodate the extra width of promenade. It will be interesting to see what photo's go on the photo gallery when the season starts.

hi its the road with the Florida on the corner, looking at the anglew of the photo, the Florida would be on the same side as the shops you can see but to the extreme left.

Haha I dont know where the Florida is though LOL

Madkitty -if you are standing at the top of the canal, looking down towards the beach, the Florida is behind you, next to the taxi rank. You've got the Loveboat/Sports Bar on one side, then the taxi rank, and the Florida on the other side of the taxi rank.
