Taken today (Feb 9th) in Icmeler

Looks like a decent rate. Wish I was there to take advantage. In fact, Just wish I was there...............................

For those who don't know, DO NOT USE an exchange shop, always use a little supermarket, a far better rate is available that way.

thats good if that exchange place is offering 2.45 then the little supermarkets would have been about 2.5
best i got last week in izmir was 2.52
so much better when you get a good exchange rate

As Dave has rightly pointed out exchange shops will not always be the best place to go, but It is nice to see the "magic" 2.5 barrier being broken (just!)

And long may it continue to rise

It was great , 2.58 in Istanbul a couple of weeks ago, but had started to come down (2.52) before we left. It would be nice to think it would go back up in Ma when we come to Icmeler, somehow think that is wishfull thinking!!!

Didn't take a pic but Change Offices in Icmeler and Marmaris were offering 2.445 today.

Makes me glad I took the chance and bought from A..a at 2.53 a while back.

hey all, any idea what the exchange rate is at the moment, Lacking far behind here at the moment its really a mess at the moment

Glad I only want a little, as I shall change it when I get to Icmeler

Exchange shops in Icmeler yesterday: 2.385TL and in Marmaris 2.405TL.

ty Barnie. Just picked up 500 lira at 2.36 in thomas cook was best i could get and wanted some lira to arrive with. But shops rates were dropping whilst i was in town just now

just back yesterday from a week in alanya
best we got was 2.41
gone down a lot according to some of the locals in the past couple of weeks unfortunately
lets hope it picks up again
