Thanks for the pics, barnie,even if it is a depressing sight. Walking down the canal just won't be the same without the stalls there- takes away the whole atmosphere.

what are they going to put in place of the stalls ?
it will make the bottom part of the canal very dark and quiet compared to what it is like when all the stalls were there
looks horrible :(

They will probably plant them big trees that scrape your arms as you walk past :lol:

colette you wont scrape your arms if you are sober when you go down there :lol: on the otherhand you may have double vision after a few voddies and see more trees than what is really there :lol:

Shame they've gone, as others say, a walk down by the canal won't have the same appeal anymore :(

OMG, My Eve wont be happy with this. We loved to walk down the canal after a meal and a few Efes :lol:

Looks so derelict. Hope they replace them with something worth looking at??

I now have no reason to go down to the canal of an evening.That could bankrupt a few bars in that area.

The walk along the canal was one of the attractions for us,it now won't have the same appeal or atmosphere without the stalls. Where exactly are they moving to? Is it to the area behind Tansas?
