Here's a few pictures from our holiday in May/June 2010 (staying at the Alvaro, spending quite a bit of time in Venice):

The Alvaro is excellent. Really friendly staff and a great atmosphere. The rroms are basic but clean and the pool area is great (2 pools, 1 with the slide and 1 a bit deeper for your general swim). Just be careful if you fall asleep on 1 of the sunbeds. The staff have a habit of creeping up on you and squirting you with water pistols (it's all good fun ). you will really enjoy your stay in the Alvaro

I may be tempted by the ascent of a bar stool, but that's about the limits of my climbing intentions for August I'm sure we'll manage to see you around somewhere though...

Karl has beaten me to most of what we'd say - I'm sure you'll love it. The pools and soft-play room are brilliant for the kids, and the staff are absolutely amazing - Eddie even has a fan club on Facebook We've been two years running now, and my wife has already booked up again for next May (quicker than I managed to upload the photos, in fact).

Thanks for your replys..can't wait now...on a more serious note whats the price of efes in there It was nice to see more photos of the Alvaro because all the ones on the net are the same. I'll leave this alone now as it isn't an icr apartment and I don't want to upset them. Pm if you have any more infoo.

Paul always look forward to seeing your photos! They are fantastic, think the best ones so far for 2010-wonder if there is a competition again this year

What is the name of the bar you were in, in the pics ?? x

Mainly Venice, but the Turkish Night was at The Alvaro itself.

Thanks, that's most kind - though credit for at least a couple of them must actually go to Sophie

Now there's a thought... I guess I'm being a bit selfish and hoping someone else organizes it so I can enter (I should've made it a rule that the winner of one organizes the next ) but if that doesn't happen by the time we get back then I guess I will.

still doing the ballet show at Venice I see??? must admit I'm not a fan. humorous the first time - now i just feel sorry for the boys

Lovely photo's, very colourful, Venice a favorite of ours and staying in Alvaro for 3rd time in 12 weeks, cant wait.

It's a fish - either given to it by one of the fisherman down by the lighthouse, or rather cheekily stolen!

It had about 4 kittens behind the empty shops down there that it went to feed with it. Quite cute, but I'll stop now as I feel I'm taking over from Colette

How much are the air con and safes mate?

Great photo's. Have stayed in the Alvaro many times.
