Thanks for keeping us up to date, Cath - it's getting quite exciting seeing all the changes taking place. Can't wait to get across and see for myself at the end of May.

I think Gene will really miss the Pirate, I understand he spent hours talking to him after a few Efes.

Thanks for your most recent pictures knocking the Korsan down gives me a wonderful view of the canal I am so excited to see changes when I get back in May.I can't believe how quick they have done the erdem area somethings don't always take a turkish minute.

many thanks for the updated photos ..get the feeling some things will look a whole lot different maybe some of the old bars and eateries we all once loved will not be the same!! others may change for the better still cant wait for july 26 to find out

Thanks cath for those up to date pictures fantastic.

I used to get more sense out of that pirate than some people I have met,we had many an augument after I left the Korsan filled to the brim with Efes and mostly the pirate came out the winner.

Its obviouse Dave the pirate is the one with the wooden head, and no sarcastic quips please.

Nope ıts my boy but Hakan ıs hıs best frıend!

Am I the only one who thinks that although the area looks nice its not as nice as it was?
I am pleased they have left the trees as at least they will give a bit of shade at lunchtime.
Will the tables and chairs be put on the grass?Or have the 3 cafes closed?
