Sue i would love to go to see the dogs but im recovering from breast cancer and will have just finished my chemo before we come out to turkey, I wont be able to walk very far and someone said they will walk a dog over on 3rd oct ..

Hubby says he no like scooby snax .. told him if we get stopped he eatin 1 in front of customs ...lol thanks for the help ...

they have plenty of water/food bowls. Big collars, leads, worming tablets, toys (ie, any old teddies etc) brushes, dog shampoo, old towels are all needed. Anything! There must be nearly 40 dogs there now, incl the pups.

Wonder if there's any way people could maybe leave old beach towels - I mean the ones which have obviously seen better days - which could then be passed on to the dogs' home. I know some people buy cheap beach towels and leave them in the resort - what happens to them? If no-one else uses them, at least that would put them to good use.

I would be happy to donate towels as i always buy them out there and never bring them back i know its a waste but i have done it for years i would be more than happy to see them got to a good cause

Sue i would love to go visit the dogs but because i would have just finished my chemo i cant do nothing that may cause me to get an infection albeit a scratch from 1 of the dogs claws, plus im not steady on my feet so they might push me over to the person who said they have enough water bowls collars and such what would you sugest i bring would be a great help ..... Maybe if i just bring some old towels and dog biscuits.....

the dogs do jump up alot so maybe next year you will be able to go down when you have your full strength back

yvonne rami is coming by the apartments we are staying at he will then be able to collect the things we take for the dogs .. unless we drop them off at the offices when we go decide where we want to go for days out and about so long as not walking involved ...

My Local Pets at home store is getting a refurbb...... so I asked if I could have any cast offs from the store,...... 27 bags of doggy treats ( nearly £3 per bag, all in date) for the grand old price of £00000. .. If you dont ask you dont get. .
.So loads of doggy treats and a few toys heading the way to the dog home .

I may have sounded like a dog hater in the past I have only looked out for my kids, so I cant realy say sorry. sorry .

Beleive it or not I do like dogs and I cant wait to visit the home and take one or two of the rascals for a wee walk.

Hi this is Janthedoglady as i am known for all the right reasons I work with Animal trust here and at the dog house every morning so anyone wanting to look round 10-12 good time, if u bring any goodies please leave them at office or the 3 bells ask for smiley or memhet daytime or PETE he the compere at night it is the best way to make sure they get to the dogs home as if u leave them outside home there not always someone there and they will take them selves for a walk if u no what i mean , Yvonne my good mate and has helped a lot with getting support for thru this site cheers mate I try and fund raise cause we a charity and never have enough money so if I do any table top sales or functions i will post on here incase anyone visiting wants to come, I hope set up a web site soon untill then my email is [email protected] if anyone want to contact for more info on dogs house, or to offer help , ideas etc, I have just been uk to try and raise money may get lucky fingers crossed, having a world cup raffle brought back goodies from uk, and table top sale in July last 1 was good, keep u all posted , so thanks again for all ur comments keep spreading the word we need it, Jan and mutts

Awwww the home looks lovely, and the dogs seem really happy. Would have liked to have seen the Ginger dogs face instead of his bum end

Jan I am being sponsored to walk up to the flag in october when I am over, the money will go to the cats and dogs of Icmeler.

It's great to see the animals being given a good chance at life now. Also all donations and gifts can be left at the ICR office and will be sent up to the animal shelter as and when

Hi if i come to office and you give me sponsorship forms I will get you some sponsors, also I will give you my turk mob nos so you can call me when there is anything to pick up as we dont want anything left outside the dogs house cause it will go walk about !!!! I have told the President of the assoc, Dr,Semin who Iwork with everyday all about Icmeleronline and the support you are giving us and she is always amazed how good the English are about animals, at some stage I will bring her to meet you all, 2nite I am holding a raffle with a world cup theme so hope to make a few lira I am trying to makle enough money this summer to pay for a roof for the winter as it is open air now, it will be in The 3 Bells from about 8.30 - 9.00 Let u know how i get on Jan and her mutts lol
