Is the jacket potato restaurant still there? We went on a day visit to Hisaronu about 10 years ago and sat eating jacket spuds in 40 degree heat :D :D :D

I keep meaning to try difference places, but the magnetism of Icmeler keeps drawing me back when I go to book......lol.

Thanks for posting the photos.

Mary, it depends on what you like whether you should try different places in Turkey. Icmeler is a place we choose because we have 2 small children who need entertainment and other kids. My Hubby and i preferred much smaller, more traditional resorts until the little ones came along. If you want a TRUE taste of Turkey check out Patara it is the smallest village you could imagine, literally 9 or 10 shops and restaurants, but the ambience and beach are to die for. I will return one day :D :D ps also been to Olu Deniz (hated it but that was bc (before children) and Hisaronu and Fethiye and Kalkan. You and Phil would prob like Kalkan but it's proper hilly

Thanks Jozzy, we might get the courage to try somewhere different next year.

I loved it when we visited our friends Parents, real Turkey I call it, no tourists and such a difference to the tourist places. Obviously 2-3 days is enough, but I wouldnt mind 2-3 days every holiday there if it wasnt so far to go.

If I am not mistaken this is the Carminia Hotel in Hisaronu, I stayed there in 2007. Had a great time.
