Fantastic day!!

Postby elkie » 19 Mar 2008 20:24

These photos are from what is probably the best day we have ever had in our 11 visits to Icmeler. Me, hubby and son were meeting our two friends who stay in Marmaris and were going on our usual boat trip. We'd taken along a couple we'd met at the apartments a couple of days before, plus their two children. When we got there no-one else had turned up but because we'd been on the boat before they decided to take us out at no extra cost-that's six adults and three children!! There were as many crew as adults! What a fantastic day, one I'll never forget. And the couple we'd met only a couple of days before are now our dear friends who will always be special to us.

Great pictures.... I do so hate a packed boat.... did a trip 2 years ago from the Lion Bar and there must have been 100 people on the boat, and the sunbeds were so close together, those who did manage to get them had to crawl over them to get to theirs. Luckily we missed out on the sunbeds and ended up with chairs. didnt fancy being packed like sardines.

Lovely photo's elkie. Thanks for sharing. What a fantastic day that must have been! We thought we had done well with just 20 on our boat last year! :o :o

Were those private houses in that photo? If so I'm going greener by the minute! Just imagine owning one of them, talk about dream home! :)

Hi Sue
Those photos were taken in 2000, and to be honest I can't remember seeing those houses the last couple of years we've been on the boat trips so don't know if they're gone or if we go a different route now, sorry. They were lovely though, weren't they?

The houses are still there and the fish restaurant is also still there but I have never seen it in use.

Elkie pictures are lovely and just what was needed on a miserable wet and windy day at work before the easter weekend.

Also only 9 of you on the boat now that sounds good no fighting for sunbeds.

Thanks again for sharing
