I was fed up with lugging a large DSLR around on hols, just too bulky. The Lumix G2 is a good 1/3rd smaller and, for my needs at least, just as capable, lovely camera to use.

The Jet Ski shots were taken by the jet ski operators from the shore with a whopping long tele lens, Nikon D80 IIRC. Tthe Canon shots are from my compact iXUS 65, it's in a waterproof case which makes the images a little softer, but it's great for shots by/in/under the water. Had it a fair few years now and is perfect for holiday shots.

Nikon dslr's are great night time cameras but compared to Cannon dslr's for daytime and colours they are rubbish

Fabulous photos, its really nice to be able to view them while I`m at work ! normally cant view them if they are photo bucket or facebook. The canal looks a little bit sad though, ones in the water great . Thanks for sharing Janine
