Have you read the post in technical corner regarding posting pictures? Might help in posting the actual image rather than the link. I've only just got the hang of posting pics myself although I use photobucket

To post a piccie already saved
Open www.imageshack.us
Select browse
Double click on the piccie you wish to post
Make sure the options box is set to 640 x 480 and make sure the resize image box is checked
Click Host it
Copy and Paste the box that says Hotlink for forums(1)
I think you are copying the wrong link, it's one of those things that's easy once you know how

I prefer photobucket as well. Upload your images to photobucket. Double click on your chosen pic, select resize if necessary and choose (Message Board 640 x 480) click ok then copy and paste the bottom link IMG Code- forum and bulletin boards into your post on here. Hope that makes sense
