3 of us went last week worst chinky weve ever had in our lives by a mile at home or abroad . Utter crap keep away .

The trouble is everyone has a regular takeaway or restaurant at home and likes the food, and sets that as a benchmark for others and it rarely is as good anywhere

In 6 years i have NEVER had a decent chinese meal in Icmeler with the place next door to Masala at top of canal being the best for duck. There is a chinese called the Golden Moon in Marmaris Harbour and it is absolutely terrible. I ordered crispy beef and got a deep fried burger in a tomato and vinegar sauce, and i actually mean a whole burger!

Not sure where the crispy bit was...didnt pay so didnt matter!

I know the Kingsland and a couple of others do or have done all you can eat offers, believe me, one plate is enough!

Believe me it was the worst chinky ive ever had anywhere . We had a meal at the Majestic and that was miles better but as you say not as good as my local . I would eat at the majestic again but not at the peking not even for free .

Well you cant beat the Majestic for the sizzlers they do.

I have eaten at the Peking(not this year) and never had a problem.

Hi, i only normaly read through the forum, for updates and info, but felt the need to leave a comment.

I find the use of the word 'chinky' highly offensive and am sure i am not the only one.

the term didn't offend me either - just slang to me in the same way "chippie" is, as in meaning short for chinese takeaway/restaurant

more political correctness gone mad! If people actually took the time to get their facts before they start screaming that there is a racist on the forum and they are highly offended, the term 'chinky' is derived from 'chinky chonky' which is an old slang term for takeaway chinese street trader food.

the pc police make me wild....

.... anyway, we've never tried the Peking, but love the chinese in Majestic although from what I recall, you've to pay extra for rice which isn't a good thing to have to do
The sizzlers in Bullshits are FANTASTIC, always start and end my hol with one, plus a couple in between too .....................

We have visited the Peking for years now and always found the food to be fine. I think it depends on what you order.

This was the first restaurant I ever had deep fried icecream. Jade the owner brought me one to try it on the house.

Last year though I though the place could do with a bit of a TLC is was looking a bit shabby.

The chinese on the main st that does the eat as much as you like for a set price is outstanding ate there three times last summer the food was superb with service to match and price was low about £7 from memory with wine thrown in.

We ate here last July and really enjoyed our food
