Tratorio de Bistro

Postby reesy1959 » 08 Jul 2009 15:45

We found this little gem of a place on our last few days, its just past the Wayside Restaurant, take your first left and its on the left hand side.

All the food is freshly prepared and its spotlessly clean. Proper Turkish feel about it even down to the toilets which are covered in flowers.

The meals were lovely and piping hot, we thoroughly enjoyed and we will definitely return on our next visit to Icmeler in October.

It was also lovely to watch the wee birds fly from the nest for the first time, really lucky to have found this place.

We love this place!! It's run by a lovely guy & his mum who make you feel very welcome, spotlessly clean, fantastic food, great prices & on a nice quiet corner in the old village. I can't wait to go back :D (I keep trying to put photos on but -struggling when I manage it I'm sure theres a few photo's of this fab little place!! )

This new find sounds very interesting & may suss it out when we return in Sept.
The name suggests Italian food or am I wrong?

we ate in there a couple of times last september.....smashin wee place, and the set menu was very cheap.

they possibly did do some italian food, can't remember, but I had chicken casserole one night and sirloin steak with a pepper sauce the next time.
maybe worth popping in during the day to reserve a table cos both times we were in they had to turn people away.

russmac,

from cash machines go up to main road, turn right and head to tansas, turn left at tansas, walk a couple of hundred yards you'll come to wayside restaraunt and turn left and it's a few yards along there. basically it's behind wayside. you can also go up the side of the three bells onto grassy wasteland, keep to your right and you'll come to it. this is a slightly quicker way from the cash machines.
