Moonliht Restaraunt

Postby dksbbs » 31 Mar 2006 14:14

We go at least once to the moonlight every holiday, food is excellent, service is brilliant, there lamb dinners are fantastic. They remember us from year to year. Never had a bad meal there yet, I advise booking when it's busy as ever table is occupied.

We had some great meals there last year, does everyone like Eddy like we did, we also got to speak to the owner of the restaurant he was so friendly, he gave the kids free ice-cream for eating their meal, what a great guy! :)

We love the Moonlight, its expanded this year if the rumours are correct, which is excellent of course, as last year they were V busy - worth the wait thought! Extremely friendly run Restauraunt, Mehmet (the owner) is a typically Turkish Gentleman, who prides himself in you eating well. Fantastic value for money, we too have never had a bad meal there, and weve been returning for the last 12 years!

My friend, tezthemaniac, who is a member of the forum but has yet to make a post uses this restaurent every night of his fortnight holiday.
He also comes to Icmeler twice a year so that is 28 meals.
When I asked him, "Why dont you try another restaurent?"
He replied,
"They do everything the way I like my food cooked, to me the meals are perfect so how can anyone improve on perfection"?

Hi

I Can't think where the Moonlight is. Is the it one that runs along the side of the ATM machines ? It sounds good and will try it in September when we go.

The first time we came to Icmeler we used to visit Moonlight most evenings even if it was just for a nightcap.

The service was 1st class, and the food was superb.

We went back the year after when we stayed in Marmaris, but since then, we have for some reason never been back.

Does anyone know if it is still owned by the same guy since the expansion?

Not sure when you last visited, it expanded...failed..so went back to its original succesful format. Went in June and can confirm its owner is still Mehmet.

Cheers!

dotty if you are outside the Tansas and across the road is the Red Lion if you walk down that street it is a couple of hundred yards on the right hand side. Just before you come to The Selam or The Selen2 hotel.
Hope these directions make sense.
