The Wayside Restaurant
by duffaire » 02 Jun 2010 03:06 pm

We would like to recommend this restaurant, it is run by 2 English girls and their husbands, we took a walk there one afternoon as it was recommended to us by a friend, had a lovely chap with Rachel and booked to go back a couple of nights later.
The food was excellent, but the welcome was even better, it was a very friendly and the people who go there seem to have been before.
It is in the old village not far from the school, turn left at the Tansas supermarket and about 200 yards down on the left.

Thats the one thing that put Phill off eating there, the cats around the tables when he was eating. He likes cats, but not where food is concerned.

Edited for spelling.

Ate at the Wayside 4 times while there the last fortnight - superb, it's gone right to the top of my favourite restaurants list!

Charlotte is gorgeous, so cute, but she did put Phill off his food a little bit - not that it takes Phill much to be put off his food!!!

Colette, you should go to the Lemon Tree as well then - one night we had 7 cats sitting round us waiting for our left-overs!

Well, we tried the Wayside for the first time last week - and it certainly won't be the last! Had dinner here on our first night and it was lovely. Daughter had the Hunkar Begendi and said it was faultless, while my Yogurt Kebab was fantastic. Hubby and son also enjoyed their meals. The staff are lovely - very friendly and helpful without being at all over the top - and the two cats are nice as well! In fact, we popped back for a meal before leaving for the airport yesterday and again, everything was delicious. They couldn't do enough to please and the only disappointing thing for me is that we've never actually eaten here before!

Returned to the Wayside this time and it lived up to our previous experience. Our meals were absolutely delicious and the staff were just as friendly and welcoming as we remembered from last time. If you've never tried it - do give it a go!

I can vouch that the food at The Wayside this season is up to its usual high standard.

It may be a little bit of a walk from the centre but soooo worth the effort. Definitely another firm favourite!

I need longer holidays, there are too many good places to squeeze in!!!! :D

The Wayside in my opinion is the best restaurant in Icmeler, it's a relaxed place with no fuss, stress or worry.
Unlike other places in town you don't loud music and dancing boys sweating everywhere, the food is superb, as is the service.
We're going back for 2 weeks on the 2nd August and have already booked a table for the 3rd... :D
