renovations in icmeler

Postby gormeik » 18 Feb 2010 07:47

hi everyone, just wondering if anybody has any new news and photos ref the renovations in icmeler as we are going back in july and would like an idea of what to expect this year.also if they are knocking down these places for not having planning permission what about the green car  as it seems to be a permanant fixture as it has not moved for at least four years?. does anybody know if the indian/chinese restaraunt opposite the sports bar is still going to be there sorry cant remember the name? as we have had many a great meal there.

Actually it does move as it is driven regularly by the owner, I even witnessed this last year on the webcam.

Hi gormeik, we ate at the masala twice last year, the first meal was our best of the holiday, the second meal was nowhere near as good

See people get different things.

The first time we went in on invitation a few years ago it was awful and he asked our opinion and for our help and things went great after that and I never had a bad meal since and the Indian curries were always nice.

This year Hakan and Levent formerly of the Old Famous Kitchen will be opening a new Chinese/Indian restaraunt on the site of the old Chill Bar so that should be nice as they have their old chefs back I believe

We only go to Masala to see Aziz - some of the meals are good but others are bad, new chef last year and was ok but year before was terrible.

Hey Dinky, Thanks for the update. The reason im so eager to keep abreast of it is that im staying at Devamli in June and was curious to the progress or non as the case may be rebuilding the Sports Bar. Thanks for taking the time to update me. Mark C

Hi Sophia

carn't see it being rebuilt in summer as the council tend to put a stop to all building work as soon as the season starts in April so if its not ready by then would think it could be next year before its up and running again
