Hammam

Hello

We have been going to Turkey for some years now and have never bothered with a Turkish Bath (maybe a litte frightened). This year following threads on another forum we have decided to give it a go.

Can anybody suggest the best one in the Icmeler area and general advice on when and what to do once there?

Hi Cummo,
ICR will do all your arrangements for you, just have a look at their excursions for reference, contact them before you go to Icmeler or call into the office and see Donna once you arrive.

Hi Cummo
There is a very good hamman at Armutalan, which is just on the outskirts of Marmaris - takes about 15 mins to get there.

Also there is one you can use at the Golmar Hotel, it is much smaller, and when we were there last year, there is a female who also gives the Turkish bath, so maybe some of the ladies may prefer this.

Dont be frightened, it is a wonderful experience, but do it fairly early in the holiday, otherwise you can lose some of your tan.

We went to the one at Armutalan and I have to say that it was very good. I was a bit apprehensive about it too - but hey, you're on holiday, so just go for it!! If you're really worried though, a female masseuse might make you feel a wee bit more at ease though.
