Recommendations for Accommodation

Postby dj_sploits » 19 Jan 2010 11:25

Hi everyone,

I'm planning on booking our yearly trip to Içmeler next month and I am after a little bit of advice. We have always booked with a popular high street travel agent and so far have stopped in the Le'toile and the Alvaro. we are going to go self catering (as last year in the Alvaro) this year and I am planning on using ICR to book the accommodation. Could anybody give some recommendations as where to stop. I don't want to be in the old village part and i would like to be near the centre. Somewhere that has a nice pool area for the lazy days and clean rooms. We really liked the Alvaro but I'm not sure if that can be booked through ICR (if so please let me know).

Right well I'm going to shut up now and hopefully this post will receive some recommendations as where to stop.

Thank you kindly in advanced.

I don't think you can book the Alvaro through ICR, but if you click on the Icmeler Online link at the top of the page, there's a section in there which shows you details of all the accommodation they offer. Alternatively, I'd suggest giving ICR a ring - explain the type of thing you're looking for and they'll be able to suggest something which fits the bill, they're very good that way! :)

Just wanted a few recommendations from people who have stopped in the various places ICR have to offer :D

I can recommend the Mete and its not far from the Alvaro, apartments are spacious, pool was quite during the the day for your lazy days and they can be booked through ICR. This year staying at the Demi but I've not stayed here before.

Hi
We`ve stayed at both the Bonjour Hotel and the Ustun Apartments, the Bonjour, is very good, as are the rooms, staff and pool with a Jacuzzi, We stayed there Bed and Breakfast, which is anything off the menu included in the price, also aircon inc. If we were to stay again we would probably try the apartments, more for the freedom selfcatering gives you.
The Ustun is just round the corner from Alvaro and are 1 bedroomed apartments of a good size, they are owned and run by a very friendly turkish family the pool was on the small side, but had plenty of sunbeds to chill on.

We would have no problem recommending either of these places.

Thank you for all your recommendations. I have looked at Bonjour and it looks fab. I think that might be the 1 we go for. We love lazing by the pool during the day and then hitting the bars at the night. Bonjour is in a prime location and now that i know it has a nice pool area (and jacuzzi) I think you all may have sold it too me.

Anymore recommendations are welcome (if not to help me maybe to help others).

Thank you all again, you truely are all friends :D
