It can be quite cheap to eat out if you shop around especially for the set menus that most restaurants offer. One that we went to in September offered a 5 course meal for 18.50tl which is under £8 and the food was excellent. Most restaurants offer similar deals having a set price for a chicken meal or steak meal.

Ditto.

Hopefully an exchange rate of around 2.40 will still be available next year.

Cheers

Hi there

Normally go to Spain on holiday but decided to give Turkey a go this year because of the exchange rate with the Euro. Went to Icmeler in July and was very surprised at how cheap the food and drink were. Will definitely be going back 2010. So far as I'm concerned you can't go wrong.

Definately alot cheaper than Spain, We usually go to Icmerl once or twice a year then go to Spain once, but didnt got o Spain this year but couldnt get time off work. But we find spain very expensive, if we ate and drank in Spain like we do in Icmeler we would spend in one week what we do in 2 weeks in Icmeler. We enjoy a show and find if you want to watch a show in Spain then you pay alot more for the drinks, where as in Icmeler/Marmaris there is only a slight increase in drink prices to watch a show.
