Icmeler Online Holiday Forum & Reviews - Turkey

My English friend, an Icmeler resident has just informed me that Sweet Bros has been squished!

Dreamboys is going or has already been squished (I can't remember which but it seems Yaya's not a happy bunny!!!), the promenade bars including the big Bamboo are being squished as are the Marmaris promenade bars.

Stella is moving from Harmony Bar to the Robin Hood near Romance Palace as the Harmony Bar is also being squished.

It seems all the demolition is to widen the promenade though the gossip earlier this year was because the mayor wanted to evict the Kurdish businesses from Icmeler as had happened in Fethiye in 2008.

Strange that Sweet Bros is squished as it is (was!) at the end of the canal!

Hope there isn't too much squishing as the Turks do have a tendancy to still be building well into the holiday season. Imagine drinking in 45deg C with no air-con ..... phew!!!!!

i just emailed kemal kaya who was the manager at bamboo on the side of the canal asking him for info on this subject,as soon as i hear anything i will let you know,also going to visit duran and juliar(i think thats the right spelling lol) the own the babadan hotel and aparts,i will arive in january and will also try find info out then to

i think the way things are going, the only bar left will be the virtual bar we are building on this web forum.

cant seem to get my bearings, which one is dreamboys and sweet brothers, the one at the end of the canal is that the Majestic?

I class end of the canal as the road end so whıchever one was facıng sports ınn (not majestıc). Sweet brothers ıs down from florıda bar and dreamboys ıs on the canal

Not good news.
I thought Cafe Anne on the beach was closed this year?.

Robin Hood for Stella will be abit of a come down, I have walked past it and it looks OK. But they wont be able to get a large audience in like they did in the Harmony.

the one on the corner opposite was a chinese i think and did not open this year, been that many times cant picture dreamboys, keep us updated Cath thanks for the info

are any of these bars moving to a different part of icmeler or just gone for good, cannot belive taj mahal is gone,that place is the nuts mmmmmmmmmmm think i might just order a indian right now mmmm

Is it Sports Inn under the Devamli or the Bamboo Sports bar??
