Trike Tours

Postby bikerjambo » 15 Nov 2009 19:29

As my name suggests, I am a biker (Suzuki GS1000 with a sidecar) who travels all over the UK and mainland Europe with wife and daughter in tow but I really feel that I should warn people before taking any of the city? trike tours.
I promised the 2 of them that I'd send them out on a trike on the last day of our hol, but the night before myself and daughter were nearly hit by 1 whilst standing on the pavement as it attempted a high speed u-turn nearly throwing off the young guy on the back as it mounted the kerb!
Now, you can look at this 2 ways:-
1.The guys doing the tours are clowns who will kill someone someday, or
2.Their hiring out the trikes to clowns who should be nowhere near a road in any sort of vehicle!

Just my view on it but please be warned!

PS. Why anyone wants to be carried on a disco trike is baffling.

We enjoyed it, thats all I can say, and we felt quite safe. The boy who drove us, i think is name is Emre took us at a steady pace, i didn't feel frightened at all.
I think the jeep safaris could be quite dangerous as proved earlier this year when someone was killed in another resort.

I went on one of these twice, first with Irem ( Rami's lovely wife) and second time with W3ndy from on here, both times were strapped in and laughed all the way round. People wave at you as you go past.

Also Zaza sent my mum and dad on them for a go as well, on the double seater one, the driver was lovely, kept asking them if they were ok and enjoying it and was he going too fast. You guys know how protective I am of the parents so I would never of sent them if I had been worried.

Maybe this guy is the better driver  but we had no problems :D

We done the Trike Ride, and got picked up from the Mandalin ( not sure if it's the one just down from the ICR office .). ( NON ICR TRIP )>
Myself and my 2 boys ( photos on here I think), Strapped in and told where to place our feet when sitting in the back seats, and they gave us 100% safety .
We can only say from our first TRIKE RIDE that we felt safe and this was no boy racer type trip for us.
We look forward to doing this again next year.
