prestij apartments

Postby sandybeach » 14 Nov 2009 02:07

Hi just booked to go to Icmeler and will be going for three weeks on my own. I normally go with my sister but she is off to see her daughter in Australia and I just thought what the hell "I love the place I will go on my own". Planning on taking plenty of books so I will have lots of early nights and relaxation. Normally stay in the centre of Icmeler so can anyone recommend any restaurants near the prestije apartments for a good fillet steak.
If you are having a get together this year whilst i am there i would love to join it.

Near to the Prestij you have De Ja Vue, also the Wayside abit further up. The food in the Wayside is lovely never had a steak in there but I would imagine they would be nice and you can choose to have it glazed with Jack Daniels if you like. Some of the hotels up the side road opposite the prestij also do nice food. The Sahin Palace do quit nice food you are welcome to go in even though you arent staying there.

Hi, we often stay around the corner in a Non-ICR apartment (Pinewood). They do good food, the Sahin does good food, Deja Vu does good food and so does the Wayside - both of which I have had delicious steaks from. There is Sylvia's which I've never had a steak from but they did have 4 course steak meal on in the summer for 20 lira and that was including a proper t-bone steak. So that's a bargain! A bit of advice, and this is just my opinion, but I'd try and avoid the Garden which is basically just across the road from the Prestij.

You're only 5 minutes away from the main road and then not far away from the Canal.

I'm sure you'll love staying in the Old Village!

Yes I second that, definately avoid the garden. Horrible place we naivly went in there for a breakfast first time we stayed in that area, I swear down that bacon was green I had one taste and spat it back out it was sour, He gave me a free glass of flat coke to appologise but still wanted paying and then had the cheak to say if we come back at the night time they do lovely food. Well if they can't get a breaskfast right I wouldn't like to try anything else there. I also think the place looks filthy and so do the staff.

Hi Sandy, totally agree with the others on the Garden - it's not hard to miss, it's usually empty and we've wondered for years how they manage to keep open!

Deja Vu do great breakfasts and Sylvia's also do a fixed price Chinese or better still, spit roast chickens to take out for 10 Lira - we had a few of those during our holiday this year and they were great with fresh bread and salad back at the apartment

I have seen the chickens but didn't realise they were to take out. I think that would make a really nice lunch one some fresh bread. Will give it a try.

I agree, the Chinese at Sylvia's is something like 16 lira for all you can eat.

hi Steve, we used to go in to let them know when we fancied one and they'd make sure it was ready for the time we wanted it  I believe Pizza Tomato do them too, but we were far too lazy to walk that far haha
Tansas do some VERY nice bread at the little baker's counter after the tills which went down a treat - like brioche or soft french sticks

I think you mean Karadeniz Pide - I agree, very clean, fresh food cooked to order and very cheap. I can recommend the minced beef pide, it was excellent and came with a lovely refreshing salad.
