I have never flown with them before, but I am booked to fly with them next June. From what I have heard they are pretty much like any other airline, they operate an Airbus 321 Manchester to Dalaman so it's a fairly new and large aricraft. There is no TV on board and meals are not served, however snacks can be bought from the trolley, but they are supposedly not cheap.

Next year will be the 3rd lot of return flights we've had with Onur. There's nothing to tell them apart from any other airline in my opinion. We get our flights over a year in advance as soon as they are released, so for the low prices we pay, we don't expect the earth - or in flight entertainment/meals

Like a lot of other airlines, they have reduced the hold luggage allowance - and I believe that now you've to pay even for your basic 15kg hold allowance? Fortunately when we booked ours, it was included in the price

On the return journey, they were offering extra legroom seats at £10 each which I didn't think was too bad - though we didn't take them up on the offer

Next year will be the third time that we have flown with onur air and have found them to be no different to any other airline the staff are friendly the only differance is there is no inflight entertainment but just take your magazines and its fine.

Hi we have flown with them many times and will be again next July.Usually from Gatwick, next year from bournemouth. They are fine.It is true that all hold baggage has to be paid for next year unless you booked before July this year. However its still a cheap way to get to Dalaman and we havent experienced any bad delays or bad experiences with them. Not really bothered about the flight...rather have more holidays and more dosh to spend!

Personally I don't like flying with Onur air, I just hate their flight times and I like to have a film to watch to pass the time. We flew with them a couple of years ago and the staff were so miserable and if you asked for another drink (they were free back then) they give a horrid look!

was chucking at your post AIison - yep, very true that their cabin crew arent the most pleasant of folk and their English has us in hoots
we love winding them up by being as pleasant as possible and seeing how long it takes before they crack a smile
in our experience, the chaps are quicker to cave in than the ladies

Have flown twice and booked next years flights with them and as for no inflight entertainment I took my portable dvd player which was great battery lasts around 3hrs enough for most of the flight and we had others trying to watch it too - we had an adapter for the earphones so we both had a set each. Also we took our on sandwiches with us although at Glasgow there is a Greggs :)

We have had no problems any time we've used them.

We flew with Onur Air in May and have booked both of our trips next year to use this airline again.
Any drinks and snacks you need for during the flight can be taking with you as the cost from the trolley are expensive and a good book or a forty winks is all the entertainment required.

Just flown back with them last night hmmmm

Miserable staff, 3 waters and one chicken butty was £14 !!!!!

Plane was ok, just a basic no frills airline, expect nothing and you might be ok.

oh yeah and don't be on the toilet when the seat belt sign goes on for turbulance, I almost fell off it!! and had staff telling me to sit down quickly and there trolley was in the way so I asked nicely would she like me to jump over peoples heads to get into my seat

Had to laugh the second time it happened as I almost landed in some mans lap

I think you can safely say, you get what you pay for with them.

Just check they have parachutes attatched to your chairs

I have flown with them a number of times and also booked again for next year. They dont seem to like people using the toilets!!they keep putting the seat belt signs on and asking you to sit down, throughout most of the flight,no other airline Ive used keeps doing this, must say the staff on one of our flights this year were very nice.

Flown with them lots of times. Definitely a no frills airline. The thing I don't like about them is that the cabin crew are constantly going up and down with the trolley. if it's not snacks etc (which cost an absolute fortune) it's the dury free. They don't give you peace for a minute. I like to read and listen to my music on the plane but you are constantly interrupted with '"do you want" this that or the other. I don't use airline toilets but the trolley is always in the aisle and people are bumping into you to get past it. Apart from that they get you where you want to go and thats all that matters in the end.

We have used them for the last two years with no issues, they are the only airline I have been with for years who seem to be ontime, they get you to where you want to go quickly and safely, no issues and have booked with them again for next year.

This is probably a stupid thing to think, but there seem to be a few stories around the internet that Onur aren't the best at caring about safety. I really don't know.

In my opinion they are the same as any other airline - same planes, same routes, same airports. Flew with them last year and saved a fortune compared to other airlines who gave away free meals. I know who i'm flying with next year and I won't be getting any free food.

If they were unsafe they would not be allowed to fly in EU airspace, there have been some stories but every airline has those, They have never had a hull loss or fatality since they started 17 years ago, this is far better than other airlines like BA (140 Hull Losses in 90 years), Air France (122 Hull Losses in 66 years) etc.

I wouldn't worry and enjoy the flight.

I agree with you Dave. They are just as safe as the next ariline, never flown with them but I am booked to fly with them next June. I have no fears regarding safety, and there aircraft used for the Dalaman route are A320'S & A321'S these are modern aircraft, and are alot newer than some of the other airlines who are still operating older Boeing aircraft. Sit back relax and enjoy the ride, and before you know it you will be in paradise.

We flew with Onur Air in May of this Year the aircraft was almost new and with excellent seats.
There was no onboard entertainment and the drinks/food trolley was very expensive but we were forewarned about this so went prepared.
It is just a matter of having a good book to read or having a little shut eye as in 4hours flying you are there.

Got home from Icmeler last night on Onur. Airbus 321. No delays and it was fine.
Legroom varies however. We were in 4E & 4F going out and my knees were sticking into the seat in front and the drop down table was resting on my chest! 8A & 8B coming back had had more room.
