Who are the worst patter merchants?

Postby bikerjambo » 09 Oct 2009 16:08

Just came back yesterday and whilst I realise that all the guys in the bars can be quite corny I would have to nominate the lads at the Istanbul Bar, Eddie and JayJay in particular. The patter was so bad it was funny ie. Eddie is trying to attract a Welsh family of 4 in, they,ve stopped so its a possibility, when JayJay (who liked a drink) asked them if they were sheep ahem...shearers! They took it as a laugh but the custom was lost.
Well worth visiting to listen to them in action.

Other peoples nominations please.

:D :D :D

i reckon we all have at some point, bikerjambo maybe it's so many that folk are spoilt for choice - or perhaps stopped listening to it!??!?

One that sticks out for me was on our visits to the Venice a couple of years back. We visit there a lot every year and Fred had fogotten my OHs name and insisted on calling him JImmy [no we're not Scottish  ]
Thing is, that's my ex-hubby's name and it was a complete coincidence as Fred's never met him. Needless to say, OH was far from impressed
