Do you think icmeler should do with a exotic milkshake bar?

Postby roza » 07 Oct 2009 13:03

A idea that came to mind when i had a milkshake is how lovely it is in the heat. Do you think icmeler should have a milshake bar? where you can have basically anything thrown in to make a deliscious milkshake

Maybe not a milkshake bar as such but a place that serves them? I know I missed the slush puppy bar this year next to Las Vegas! For some reason it's not there anymore and was gutted to find on one of the hottest days I couldn't get the slush puppy type drink I was looking for!

No not for me thankyou! I think Icmeler has gone to far with it's modernisation and is rapidly turning into being any other resort you can find across Europe. I would prefer it if it presented more Turkish based items and thymes that give a feeling of the local culture as it did a few years ago.

I would tend to agree with John - I'm sure I've seen milkshakes on the menu in several places anyway and most places would make you one if you asked them to. I'd rather see more authentically Turkish places as well.

Katieb,if you like slush puppies try the Carlsburg slush puppies (Ice Cold Beer) served down at the Lineakers Bar on the promenade.
I often partake of 4 of these while haveing my lunch sat at Haken and Levants Best Table.

Just a point here folks...

This question was posted from a first timer from Turkey so probably someone fishing as to opening a new venture next year.

I tried the vitamin bar once and though a watermelon juice was nice I would rather have a beer

We had a slush puppy down by the harbour and got ice thrown at us for free, was a bit of a shock but cooled us down

I totally agree with you John V. Definitely saw a change this year - trying to become like everywhere else. Probably money driven but not good as far as I'm concerned.

No, keep Turkey Turkish, that is why we like to go because it has it's traditions. Did not go this year unfortunately we had a change and went to Spain which we did enjoy but very British in some places so I think we are back to Icmeler next year but please no milk shake bar even though my daughter would love it :!:
