LOST CAMERA

Postby CHUCHTER » 29 Sep 2009 20:37

Our friends lost their camera on our second last day of hol around 14th september while fishing at canal just down from efes inn, they took out holiday insurance but stupidly never thought to report to police so have been told no chance of getting anything back, They are not bothered so much about camera but would have liked to have got memory card back as all holiday memories were on there, just be aware that if anyone loses anything to be sure and get a police report if wanting to claim on insurance.

..........or leave it until you get home and report it as lost in UK ?
not ethical I know, but at the end of the day if you've lost something, you've lost it

shame to have lost the pics, but at least there's still the memories

I would get them to check their policy wording on this as you usually only need to report to the police if it as stolen. I work in insurance PM if you need further help with it.

As the above poster said, if you have lost it there is no need to inform the local dibble.

I work in insurance, and provided your travel insurance policy covers accidental loss, you will be fine.

Failing that, most household policies will cover items whilst outside of the home, and some include worldwide cover, so it's worth checking that aswell.

If you want any help checking documents etc, pm me.
