A few last minute questions

Goin to Icmelar for the first time on Monday morning.
We are staying at the Rhodes apartments which seem to be a fair distance from the canal area. Is this right. If so how long to walk to the area where the action is? It seems to be a fair sized town.
Turkish massage- I am having one but `er indoors is not keen unless attendants are women.
Do any of the Turkish bath places offer a service just for women at a certain time?
Can anyone recommend one near the Rhodes apts.
Any really good fish restaurants and steak restaurants in Icmelar ???.
Finally I have seen the on line map but does anyone know of a map showing restaurants apartments named on the map that we could print out and take with us?.
all help appreciated,
regards,
Mike n Deb

As far as restaurants are concerned, you'll be spoiled for choice - lots of places do excellent fish and steaks. I'm really fussy about how I like my steak done, but I've had fabulous steak dishes in Vince's and Harry's Steakhouse. Quite a few places do fish in salt - the fish is baked in salt, which forms a crust and keeps the fish lovely and moist, but not tasting salty. You usually have to order this the day beforehand, though.

As for the Turkish bath, I'd pop into the ICR office and have a chat with the girls. They'll be able to advise you on the best place and will know which ones have female attendants.

I'm sure you will have a fantastic holiday and love Icmeler as much as the rest of us do.

We just came back from Icmeler on 11th September and ate at Set, Bonjour, Dream 3 Bells, 3 Bells, The Waterfall, Chef and also Tommy's in the old village. Tommy's is a lovely restaurant good food and quite cheap.
I was also a bit wary of the men in the turkish bath but they are very careful where they put their hands and didn't make me feel uncomfortable at all. The only time you are alone with them is if you opt for a massage but even then the man i had was fine.
Hope you have a fantastic holiday.

I went for a turkish bath and massage with a friend a few years ago and the male masseur couldn't keep his hands to himself, which resulted in him being sacked. The bunch of flowers I received from the manager of the hotel (mersoy) did little to make up for the bad experience. I'd definately recommend a female masseur for your wife.

I had a similar experience last year but the year before had two Turkish baths/massages both with males and they were fine so I haven't let it put me off - just going to a different place this year. Like anywhere else, there's good and bad and you'll be with your wife so that should make a difference.
