Booked with ICR for first time this year. When we arrived at Dalaman no Rep etc no rep in the morning, even though we have been icmeler for 10 years it was my daughters first trip no rep visit to inform us of excersions attractions etc. We originally booked with the Diva hotel only to be told that they had overbooked and the Diva was overbooked and they could now offer us the Ustan apartments we had to accept as the booking had all gone through. We were given an apartment that was on ground floor facing the bar and where everybody went for the breakfast in the morning hence we could not go on the balcony felt like two goldfish in a goldfish bowl so had to sit in our dingy room and we mean dingy. We were woke up every morning at 7.15 but the turkish family that owned the apartments swilling down the place and getting ready for the day, making their breakfast and then sitting round their table all eating their breakfast and talking really loud, no choice really for us just get up and sit in the dingy room and think where to go for breakfast, my daughter had a separate room and her room was also ground floor at the pool and she also felt she could not go on the balcony in private, i dont know about you but in the morning after a night out in icmeler i like to have a few coffee's and a few fags to bring myself round but not a chance in these apartments just could not sit on our balcony. In the afternoon my husband usually likes to have a few beers and then have a nap before we get ready and go out in the evening guess what no chance!!! the turkish family then we there having thier tea all sitting around the table outside our room chatting and watching the televison that was also really loud. We tried to make the best of our holiday by going to all the usual best bars in the evening etc. On our departure day we were charged 15 pounds by the owner to have one of our rooms for 6 hours until we were picked up by ICR. I cannot tell you how bad our transfer was !!!!!!! the drive picked us up on time but then he had to go to marmaris to pick up other people, he did not know where he had to pick them up and we just kept on going around in circles all around marmaris he kept making numerous phone calls to people but we just kept on going around and around in circles, in the end he had to ask a few taxi drivers where the particular apartments were where he had to pick up his customers. eventually after about 30-40 minutes he found it and picked up another 6 people after that we had the most frightening experience of our lives, 10 people sitting in the mini bus were drove to dalaman airport at a speed of about 100 mph with the driver having a few near misses with other traffic we were all terrified you can understand he was trying to make up time but we all felt scared for our lives.
Would we book with ICR again NO CHANCE!!!!!!. We know this review will be taken of this website but we will make sure that it will be be on other holiday review sites. It was a total disgrace.

Hi, sorry to hear you had such a bad experience on your transfer and accommodation, nothing worse really after saving so hard to go there.

I am sure your review will be left on site as ICR wont be able to resolve any issues if they are not aware of them.

Did you report any of these issues to ICR while you were in resort, because my personal experience with them is that they will go that extra mile to ensure your holiday is a good one. They might have been able to move you to another floor where you could have had the privacy in the morning to come around and I am sure they would be keen to speak to the driver if he was driving at the speeds you mentioned.

Bad experience? was the worse holiday ever in 10 years of going to icmeler. Total waste of our well earned money. Going with a more reputable company next year which we usually do only had to make it a bit cheaper this year because my daughter and boyfriend wanted to be independant and pay for for their own holiday never again all 4 of us feel so cheated that our holiday was changed from the diva to the ustan apartments they should not have take our booking if the diva was overbooked

Sorry to hear about your experience, but you should have called into the ICR office and raised your concerns with them at the time - knowing ICR, I'm sure they would have done they all could to try to help. I've had nothing but excellent service from ICR and have booked my accommodation and transfer with them again for next month. I'm sure they will take your concerns on board.

It doesnt matter how other people have been treated,the point is berni has booked with ICR and is not happy with the apartment change which seems to have caused most of the problems.
The transfare also wants to be addressed if passengers were frightend during the transfare proccess.
I am sure these matters will be taken up by ICR, but the point berni is makeing is she feels that her holiday has been ruined.

Did you complain at the time and give ICR an opportunity to resolve your concerns? I'm not having a go, by the way, but that's not clear from your original post. Just wondering if you raised these issues with them at the time in the resort, thereby giving everyone an opportunity to sort things out and perhaps save you from having your holiday ruined...

I would say bernis main concern was being moved in the first place through over booking otherwise she would have had no need to complain.

Another point she raised was the lack of a rep being avaliable neither at the airport or makeing a visit to the apartments the following morning (First time visitors).
Sometimes its not possible to have a rep meeting people off every flight as long as the transfare driver has all the relevant information on the passengers and a board displaying the visitors name.
But as ICR are a holiday company and with two of the people being first timers a visit to the apartments would have been in everyones interest to explain the resort, currency, trips etc.

Not all of us needs the visit of a rep,but some first time visitores require this service and it also gives them comfort in knowing someone is at hand.

I know there is an office in resort but a few of the older visitors never mind the new ones dont know were this office is.

Not everyone likes to complain and in bernis defence the thing that must have made her resort to complaining on the forum was the transfare from Icmeler to Dalaman on top of her spoilt holiday.

Thanks ever so much for your feedback although it is one of the worst received so far.

A few things I disagree with is; ICR is not going to delete this topic. I dont know what made you say that. We are not the type of company who hide bad feedback and only feed people with the good.

BUT We are also not the type of company who deem to be perfect but we are those who thrive to be.

From my understanding, you had not made compaints to our office in resort whilst your holiday about your accommodation and from what I Know, you definitely did not file in your complaint to our offices in Turkey or England to see what could be done. Alot could be solved and your holiday could be a memorable one however, with few things going wrong, you decided to publicize your experience without even letting the involved parties in. I do not see goodwill here. I do have couple of ideas in mind but will not be discussed here.

This forum topic of complaint will be treated just in the same manner as those that are received by email from various and valued customers of ours. If you are entitled to some sort of a compensation, this will be done via email to yourselves.

First point of any complaint to ICR should be directed to ourselves just like how you would have done if you had booked with a "more reputable company".

As you will understand, no company likes to receive such complaints but we should feel happy and very fortunate to have customers like you who will stand their grounds and forward their concerns and feedback to us. This way, maybe one day, we will be that perfect company.

YOU FIRST BOOKED WITH US AT THE DIVA ON THE 4TH MARCH 2009 AND ON THE 6TH APRIL 2009 I CALLED YOU TO ADVISE THAT THE DIVA HAD OVERBOOKED(THEIR FAULT NOT OURS) WE OFFERED YOU THE USTUN AS YOU WANTED TO KEEP THE COST AS LOW AS POSSIBLE AND YOU SAID "YES WE KNOW THE USTUN AS WE HAVE BEEN COMING TO ICMELER FOR MANY YEARS AND WE ACCEPT THE CHANGES, YOUR HOLIDAY STARTED ON THE 7TH SEPTEMBER 2009 SO YOU WERE INFORMED 5 MONTHS BEFORE YOUR HOLIDAY AND NOT AS IT LOOKS LIKE IN YOUR POST JUST BEFORE OR AS YOU ARRIVED.

IF THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH ACCOMMODATION IN THE RESORT THEN PEOPLE USUALLY FIRST ADDRESS THE MANAGEMENT OF THE BUILDING ASKING TO BE MOVED TO ANOTHER ROOM ON MAYBE A HIGHER FLOOR IF YOU WERE BEING DISTURBED.

IF YOU GET NO SENSE FROM THE MANAGEMENT THEN THE NEXT STEP IS TO CONTACT OUR OFFICE AND AS YOU KNOW ICMELER WELL AND WE ARE IN THE CENTRE OF TOWN YOU SHOULD HAVE POPPED IN AND LET US KNOW ABOUT YOUR PROBLEMS, YOU COULD HAVE ALSO CALLED US EITHER ON THE UK NUMBER OR EVEN THE TURKISH NUMBER WHICH I ALL LISTED ON YOUR BOOKING FORMS AND ALSO ON YOUR WELCOME PACKS, UNLESS WE KNOW THAT A PROBLEM EXISTS WE CANNOT POSSIBLY DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT.

THIS IS ENTIRELY UP TO THE OWNERS OF THE APARTMENTS AND THE SAME CHARGES WOULD HAVE APPLIED BY ANY ACCOMMODATION OWNERS.

sorry to hear about your holiday fiasco, but like admin says if the problem with the hotel is not reported in the resort to either the hotel or ICR how can you expect the issues to be resolved. as far as taxi we have used icr taxi transfer several times and have never had trouble but i am sure now the matter has been brought to there attention it will be certainly dealt with and anyone else booking will not have this trouble.

Hmm let me see. How would you have said to the management " Excuse me but could you, your wife, your mother and father and grandson, chef and cleaner please stop having your breakfast outside our bedroom window every morning clunking and clanging and talking really loud with your telly on. We are too polite to do that after all it is not only holiday accomodation it is their home. How do you complain to the management about the management?

I did not say either that i knew where the Ustan Apartments were i said i knew the street at the side of the Diva which thay were situated. To make things worse everyday when we passed the Diva it seemed like people there were having a really good time.

As for complaining to the rep, what rep? did not see one rep at all.

Hi all,

I too had a problem with the ICR transfer on the way back to Dalaman. I chose to approach ICR via the customer feedback process and my 'complaint' was handled most efficiently and professionally.

I would not hestitate to use ICR again.

This obviously is my personal opinion.
