Ok I will reply to your post with my own words in CAPITALS but it will not be deleted as we like to address things and try to put them right so you enjoy your holiday but if we do not know about it then, well.
Booked with
ICR for first time this year. When we arrived at
Dalaman no Rep etc no rep in the morning,
(WE DO NOT SEND A REP TO YOUR APARTMENTS FIRST MORNING AS YOU NEVER GOT TO YOUR ACCOMMODATION TILL EARLY HOURS SO WE RESPECT THAT YOU NEED SLEEP.
even though we have been
icmeler for 10 years it was my daughters first trip no rep visit to inform us of excersions attractions etc.
MOST PEOPLE THAT BOOK WITH US ARE TOLD WHERE OUR OFFICE IN CASE THEY NEED ANY EXCURSIONS BOOKING FOR THEM AND THEN DONNA ON RECEPTION EXPLAINS EVERYTHING IN DETAIL
We originally booked with the Diva
hotel only to be told that they had overbooked and the Diva was overbooked and they could now offer us the Ustan apartments we had to accept as the booking had all gone through.
YOU FIRST BOOKED WITH US AT THE DIVA ON THE 4TH MARCH 2009 AND ON THE 6TH APRIL 2009 I CALLED YOU TO ADVISE THAT THE DIVA HAD OVERBOOKED(THEIR FAULT NOT OURS) WE OFFERED YOU THE USTUN AS YOU WANTED TO KEEP THE COST AS LOW AS POSSIBLE AND YOU SAID "YES WE KNOW THE USTUN AS WE HAVE BEEN COMING TO ICMELER FOR MANY YEARS AND WE ACCEPT THE CHANGES, YOUR HOLIDAY STARTED ON THE 7TH SEPTEMBER 2009 SO YOU WERE INFORMED 5 MONTHS BEFORE YOUR HOLIDAY AND NOT AS IT LOOKS LIKE IN YOUR POST JUST BEFORE OR AS YOU ARRIVED.
We were given an apartment that was on ground floor facing the bar and where everybody went for the breakfast in the morning hence we could not go on the balcony felt like two goldfish in a goldfish bowl so had to sit in our dingy room and we mean dingy. We were woke up every morning at 7.15 but the turkish family that owned the apartments swilling down the place and getting ready for the day, making their breakfast and then sitting round their table all eating their breakfast and talking really loud, no choice really for us just get up and sit in the dingy room and think where to go for breakfast, my daughter had a separate room and her room was also ground floor at the pool and she also felt she could not go on the balcony in private, i dont know about you but in the morning after a night out in icmeler i like to have a few coffee's and a few fags to bring myself round but not a chance in these apartments just could not sit on our balcony. In the afternoon my husband usually likes to have a few beers and then have a nap before we get ready and go out in the evening guess what no chance!!! the turkish family then we there having thier tea all sitting around the table outside our room chatting and watching the televison that was also really loud.
IF THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH ACCOMMODATION IN THE RESORT THEN PEOPLE USUALLY FIRST ADDRESS THE MANAGEMENT OF THE BUILDING ASKING TO BE MOVED TO ANOTHER ROOM ON MAYBE A HIGHER FLOOR IF YOU WERE BEING DISTURBED.
IF YOU GET NO SENSE FROM THE MANAGEMENT THEN THE NEXT STEP IS TO CONTACT OUR OFFICE AND AS YOU KNOW ICMELER WELL AND WE ARE IN THE CENTRE OF TOWN YOU SHOULD HAVE POPPED IN AND LET US KNOW ABOUT YOUR PROBLEMS, YOU COULD HAVE ALSO CALLED US EITHER ON THE UK NUMBER OR EVEN THE TURKISH NUMBER WHICH I ALL LISTED ON YOUR BOOKING FORMS AND ALSO ON YOUR WELCOME PACKS, UNLESS WE KNOW THAT A PROBLEM EXISTS WE CANNOT POSSIBLY DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT.
We tried to make the best of our holiday by going to all the usual best bars in the evening etc. On our departure day we were charged 15 pounds by the owner to have one of our rooms for 6 hours until we were picked up by ICR.
THIS IS ENTIRELY UP TO THE OWNERS OF THE APARTMENTS AND THE SAME CHARGES WOULD HAVE APPLIED BY ANY ACCOMMODATION OWNERS.
I cannot tell you how bad our
transfer was !!!!!!! the drive picked us up on time but then he had to go to
marmaris to pick up other people, he did not know where he had to pick them up and we just kept on going around in circles all around marmaris he kept making numerous phone calls to people but we just kept on going around and around in circles, in the end he had to ask a few taxi drivers where the particular apartments were where he had to pick up his customers. eventually after about 30-40 minutes he found it and picked up another 6 people after that we had the most frightening experience of our lives, 10 people sitting in the mini bus were drove to dalaman airport at a speed of about 100 mph with the driver having a few near misses with other traffic we were all terrified you can understand he was trying to make up time but we all felt scared for our lives.
THIS PROBLEM WE CAN DEFINITELY ADDRESS AND WE DO APOLOGISE PROFUSELY FOR THE TRANSFER BACK IF THIS IS THE CASE BUT THEN WE HAVE HAD NO MENTION OF THIS IN EITHER EMAIL FORM OR TELEPHONE FROM ANY OF THE OTHER PEOPLE THAT YOU MET IN THE TRANSFER AND FOR THIS WE WILL OFFER YOU A FREE ONE WAY TRANSFER NEXT TIME YOU DECIDE TO COME TO ICMELER.
Would we book with ICR again NO CHANCE!!!!!!. We know this review will be taken of this website but we will make sure that it will be be on other holiday review sites. It was a total disgrace.

IF ANYONE READING THIS DOES HAVE A PROBLEM IN ANY ACCOMMODATION ANYWHERE IN THE RESORTS THEN PLEASE, FIRST TAKE IT UP WITH THE MANAGEMENT AND IF NO JOY THERE THEN PLEASE COME TO SEE US AND WE WILL RESOLVE THE ISSUE.
