ICR DAY EXCURSION

Postby diwil » 15 Sep 2009 18:28

We just got back from another two fantastic weeks in Icmeler and had to let you all know about the day trip out with Donna to Halil for the best breakfast in Turkey. All home made food, butter, goats cheese, honey to die for, strawberry jam, home made bread, fried eggs with sausages, then tea or coffee.Mouthwateringly fantastic.
Then onto the Hidden Lake which was so picturesque and peaceful, OH sat in a hammock for ages, then we set off for Gokova Bay, what a laugh we had there. There were great waves and Donna,OH and myself swam to the edge.We were very proud of ourselves. Then Donna had to go for her mussles so I was stuck with OH.
Then onto Akyaka for lunch in the most lovely little cafe, sat there and watched our lunch being cooked in the fires. Finally we stopped for the best icecream and baklava ever, to die for. We had such a laugh with Donna, she is a scream, from driving the minibus til she saw the police ha ha :D :D :D to spilling mussles down her cossie top.
I will definately be booking it again next year and would recommend it.Sounds more like a food tour but it was so good to escape the hussle and bussle of Icmeler for a day. You must try it.

Would love to try this trip. Thanks for letting us know.

Donna - will this trip still be running when I am in there from Oct 8th? If yes can you give me the prices please? Would love a mad day out, and you never know, maybe we can have a few vodka's and let Phill do the driving - on the other hand - maybe NOT

Didn't do the trip but we decided to visit Akayaka, what a fantastic beach and village, the meal we had was stunning, and all written in Turkish!! Highly recommended. AND it took us 9 buses and 1 taxi to get there and back but it was truly worth it :D :D :D :D Def doing this trip next year as i want to see Gokova too :D :D

Definitely interested Blondie. We will wait and see what Donna says and then I will pm you my mobile number so we can make arrangements.
Dotty - such a shame, would have been great if you both could have come too.

We may not be going now as Donna has upset me by giving me a sex change, and my fiancee is none too pleased that she is now my Hubby!

We will now have to get whole new wardrobes, as there is no way I can fit into her outfits.

If you ask some one to direct you to the square were the ATM machines are, look towards the direction of the beach the ICR office is on your right hand side, just across the road from Harrys Rest above the supermarket on the corner. Not to good at directions but if you get to the square anyone will show you.
