Ripped Off by Icmeler Restaurant Owner

Message for jacqui.
You asked which restaurant owner had ripped me off.
It was the *********** - next door to the ************** and across the road from the **********.
I was friends with the owner and I was persuaded by him and his English partner to give him a loan to extend the restaurant 2 years ago.
Many thousands of pounds later the story I get is that business is bad and he'll pay me back when he makes money!!
He signed a loan agreement but that seems to mean nothing to him.
I get promises of paying me back every week and every week nothing.

He's left me really stuck and I've been fighting every month for the last year just to hold onto my house and pay my bills because he won't pay me back.
I haven't been back this year cos I can't afford to and couldn't afford to take my kids on holiday either because of him.

I couldn't recommend the restaurant anyway - overpriced, average food, average entertainment (Russians pretending to be Turkish belly dancers) and a lot of mystery drinks on the bill that you never drank!

I have not been ripped off by anyone yet, i have been to icmeler many many times, but last year i was foolish enough to give my number to a turkish waiter, and approx 2months after my return of my hols, he text me asking for me to lend him a £1000.00 i never replied but kept the texts on my phone because we returned twice year incase he was funny with us then i would have shown them to his employer, but he was okay and neither parties mentioned the texts i was very disappointed in him as i thought i new him better than that.

I am very sorry to hear of you bad encounter with this party and hope you get your full loan and interest back.
