Icmeler Online Holiday Forum & Reviews - Turkey

hi can anyone tell me what it is like in icmeler around the 21st October. daughter is thinking of booking for that time we have have never been there that late in the year so not sure of weather or how much is still open i would be grateful for any advice it will be her first visit to turkey for her and her family and i would like it to be a good one. many thanks paty.

The holiday season for Icmeler finishes at the end of October and you sense it happening from the second week as places start closing up and the boys head off home.For your daughters initial visit to Turkey I suggest a different time would be better say mid May until end September into early October she would then experience a bit more business and buzz.
The weather during the month of October can be realy good and is prefered by many to the great heats of July and August so no matter when she chooses I am confident she will enjoy Icmeler.

Hi Paty. I know what John means as we usually go out about the 8th October each year. The first week we found that it is starting to wind down, and by the time we leave, several bars are empty and the place is very sad looking without all the hustle and bustle. For your daughters first visit, if she doesn't want to go in the blazing heat, maybe the middle of September would be good. Went that time of year on our first visit, and it was still very warm and also still busy. Taking everything into account...no matter when your daughter goes, I am sure that she will have a wow of a time, and will love every minute.

the weather is still nice in the day time in october but can be chilly at night with you needing a jumper when you go out sometimes
you can get some rain in october but hopefully not all the time
its your luck i think cause last year when we went it was amazing and really warm even at night

We're coming back in October - just booked flights for myself and daughter, arriving on October 9. We've been in October for the past two years and both times, the weather has been lovely. We really like Icmeler at that time of year - yes, things are beginning to slow down and places are starting to close, but there are still plenty of places open - and lots of bargains to be had too!
Can't wait to get back again - it seems like ages since we were there in June, and daughter's desperate to get back too, as she hasn't been this year because she's been working as a volunteer at a special needs camp in America, so she needs her Icmeler fix for 2009!
