i have had a similar issue, and want to use mine for the same purpose, so have asked round various people who have been to icmeler and i am told that you can withdraw cash from certain hole-in-the-walls, i know the is a HSBC bank cash machine in icmeler and you can use visa electron in it....not sure about marmaris though

hope this helps

Hi Mark
We always take sterling, easy to change up at the banks, change offices or jewellers. If you are worried about carrying a lot of cash, just buy yourself a body belt , my husband has used one of them for years with no problem and when you get to Icmeler hire a safe. I would be more concerned about using a debit card because of cash machine fraud.
Hope this has been of some help to you.

I agree with Jean, take cash with you just keep it close to you. You tend to get a better rate out there than over here. We had a safe last year and was fine.

We had a safe last year and I would say dont bother if you are staying at the Alinda 2! most of them were robbed in the hotel!

Blimey Babs that is awful, we had one at the Devamli and you are the only one who has a key to it none of the staff have one because they tell you to look after it as there is no other key. I would die if that happened to me that is shocking!! :( They should have their fingers chopped off!!
