I know this has been asked before but I cant find the answer so apologies for asking again, As advised on forum we are planning to take some lira with us and then exchange money over there, Do cash machines charge for withdrawal and can you take money out in sterling?

If your cashcard is a Nationwide card then NO charge, as Turkey is classed as Europe.
All other cards charge, you will have to check your bank, as for withdrawing sterling, you can at the HSBC kiosk, but if you are only doing this to then change it to Lira in the resort, Nationwide will give you a better rate from the machine.

Thanks for that much appreciated not with nationwide so will check with my bank about charges, thanks again
