Flights changed again

We booked with aegeanflights last year to fly from Liverpool to go in Sept,the flight times change twice,then they cancelled the flight in May,and they offered us Manchester 2 days later both out and return we we accepted,had to change the dates of our accomodation,ICR were great and did this for us.We recieved our E tickets last week,printed them off,now today we have recieved a new invoice from aegean,flight has changed again,return flight is not with Monarch now,but OHY,another 5 hours later,waiting for E tickets again now,is this a record!!!

We had this problem last September flew from Birmingham but had to come back to Manchester had two extra days in Icmeler though,we booked with them again last year(for this year) but flying from Liverpool flight times were changed three times then had a letter saying that the in bound flight had been cancelled due to lack of sales, we could
fly back into Manchester two days early (12 days not 14)trouble was our cars had been booked into Liverpool anyway we cancelled and booked with another company so two weeks to-day we will be there.

I know just how you feel. Booked flights with BMI via t**eticket in Jan 2009. Due to fly Monday 10/8/9 0700 and retun 24/8 @ 2355 hrs.So yesterday and only 4 days before we go that flights had been changed to 1120 departure and returning 0450.Spoke to the holiday company,ticket agents and even the airline and nobody gives damn.Now it appears to me that the British holiday companies don't give a hoot once they have your money,clearly no help but plenty of condesending excuses and "oh I'm sorry sir it's not our fault".Puts little downer on a hard earned holiday before we've even started as we get ther later and wait around even longer to come home.Nothing will change until they are penalised for there disregard.Efes needed. Rant over.

We had same problem in June, we'd booked a year in advance and had FIVE changes to our flight, which included date, airport and time of flight. I'm just so sickened with Aegean that I won't book with them again unless I can't get anything else, even though I'll be paying more I think its worth it. Going out in September with TC and back with Globe****, keeping fingers crossed as there have been no changes to either flight so far and have had them booked since February.

I agree that the airline or travel company should be penalised if the change is their fault, because if we want to change anything on the booking then its a hefty charge for us.

Hiya....

I see that there are some trouble about flights to Turkey for the UK.

I stopped useing thise charther flighs already 5 years ago. Was tierd of all the delays and problems with the airlines way to take care of their guest.

Do only now buy regular flight with the good companys like Turkish airlines and Lufthansa.

They have no direct fligts to Dalaman and Bodrum. The connections go via istanbul to Dalaman,Bodrum
You will have to change flights during your trip. But it always go on time and the service is great.
Food and drinks is free on board. The food is better as well.
You can also seat yourself with the regular flights. Around 24 hours before depart you can go online and make your own seating. Wich you must pay ekstra for on chartherflights.


Also Lufthansa go to Tukey from all Europe. They have connection via Munich to Izmir.
I use the Lufthansa to Izmir and like that kind of trip. It take bit more time becurse Izmir is located 275 km north of Marmaris/Icmeler.
Do take taxi form the airport to the bus station (Otogar) and the Pamukkale Bus company go to Marmaris every hour in the day and evening time. As well Icmeleronline have transfer from Izmir airport to Icmeler.


The price for regular flights is nearly the same if you buy and book them early like 2 or 3 mounths before. Even if you book very early like 6 mounths you can have ticket for very good price.

This was some altenative travell for Turkey
