TBH, I'm not a big fan of these budget airlines, basically because they often aren't the cheapest anyway, and once you factor in all the "extras", and the jumping through hoops you need to do, I think it can be a false economy anyway - it's the old "value added" thing.
However, many like them. There's just been posted a feature on the moneysavingexpert site, with tips on exactly how they rip you off, insider tips on how to avoid this (Some of the things they charge you for are outragious) etc.
I don't think I can post a direct link on here, but it's on that site if anyone would find it useful - or in truth, it might persuade you to stick to normal airlines
