I believe they're not THAT bad, but don't be surprised if they go a bit lower over France to do a bit of cropspraying on the side

As for their similar rival, the one which begins with R and has a harp on their tailfin, well rumour has it they really are considering doing what the old jokes have been suggesting for a couple of years - coin operated toilets :P

We have flown with EJ many times and it has been fine however we have never been on the plane for four plus hours as we will be 20th August from Manchester. So we will see, sarnies at the ready, a very good book and my MP3 player. Should be fine, I hope :D

Flew with them in December to Alicate for the first time, and also flying to Dalaman with them in September. I would rather fly with them than TC or Thompsons any day. The planes were modern as they are A321's which they aquired when they took over GB Airways routes. They don't allocate seats when you check in they allocate you a letter unless you have purchased speedy boarding. Early check ins get group A, then B for later and C for those left it till last minute to check in. The plane is boarded Speedy boarders and Medical first then Group A and so on. We were in group A last year and managed to get Extra Leg room seats both ways as you just sit where you like once on the plane. There were TV's on the plane which looked like ot had Mr Bean playing but they don't sell headsets to watch this, they also use the screen for updates on the map to see where you are and how long left etc.
Inflight service was good, usual prices for drinks. They also sell hot and cold sandwiches and paninis. When we checked in we were given a £1 off voucher for any meal deal on board, we got a cup of tea and a hot bacon baguette for £4 so think that is very reasonable.

Hi Wimpy,
I think there is only one EJ flight that day and it is about two o.clock. Counting down now, can't wait. We have been back 12 weeks from Icmeler in May but seems so long ago.

TBH, I'm not a big fan of these budget airlines, basically because they often aren't the cheapest anyway, and once you factor in all the "extras", and the jumping through hoops you need to do, I think it can be a false economy anyway - it's the old "value added" thing.

However, many like them. There's just been posted a feature on the moneysavingexpert site, with tips on exactly how they rip you off, insider tips on how to avoid this (Some of the things they charge you for are outragious) etc.

I don't think I can post a direct link on here, but it's on that site if anyone would find it useful - or in truth, it might persuade you to stick to normal airlines

admins - I don't think I've overstepped anything with this post -but just edit away if I have 8)

If I could get a non budget for the price i paid for our flights i would. I paid £84 each return for my flights in total in peak weeks. As long as i get there safely I couldn't careless who they are for that price.
