We are going to Icmeler 19th aug and we usually go to the same old places to eat. Thinking of going to places along the canel. just wanting to know which are the best without getting too much hassel

My favourite on the canal is Majestic, I love their sizzlers.

depends what you want
there are a lot of bars on the canal that serve food and then have live shows everynight
you could get a lot of hassle from dreamboys and villa kontes though
other ones include veince, bamboo, majestic

For good food AND entertainment, then Venice is a good night out.
For a quieter night out Villa Kontes is lovely, however they are prone to hassling during the day and once you are there they are reluctant to let you leave!!!

If you want an authentic Turkish atmosphere and great food - try the Kerem (opposite Venice and up a bit from the Majestic) - you'll get a fantastic welcome and real Turkish hospitality from the owner and her family - oh, and the cheesecake is to die for!

Thinking of going to Veince and majestic. We usually go to Simpson's, however this is now a fruit shop and the 3 bells. Just sick of going to the same places

why not have a walk up to the old village there are plenty of nice places to eat and quiter than the main town

friends just returned from icemeler at weekend and they found the place a little bit more commercialised but absolutely brill. icemeler as not lost any of its charm. they said they thought the best meals they had over the 2 weeks was loveboat. bonjour. staying in efes inn was great, clean comfortable friendly and ideal location. booking back again next year with us but we will do the deal through icemeler on line

In the canal area I like the two places already mentioned the Venice ,good meals and entertainment and Kerem excellent meals and quieter.

Any suggestions for eating near to Celik Appartments? I think they are way out of town up by market site. Any decent Breakfast joints? What about a good evening meal (I just love steak). Where is best for a late nightcap after struggling out of town?

You'll be spoiled for choice when it comes to breakfasts - almost everywhere does them. Not too sure about places near to the Celick, however, but centrally, the Florida is good, but we became regulars at Harry's Steakhouse, which also does excellent steaks, by the way. I'm really fussy about steak and have always been wary about eating it before, but had a fantastic fillet steak at Harry's - and also found the steak at Vince's to be very very good indeed, cooked exactly as I had asked for it. Icmeler has a wealth of great places to eat though - half the fun is discovering places you haven't tried before.

our favourite restaurant is the LIGHTHOUSE , but to be honest never had a bad meal there maybe places we say nice but wouldn't go again but not many some brill places chef,champagne bar & kerem just too many to mention

think you have to try for yourselves everbodies taste buds are different

I understand its about trying different places but I am under orders from the other half not to spend everynight looking at/choosing somewhere to eat.

I've been to Majestic and Dream Boys before (both excellant) but that was when we stayed at the Marti Resort. (All Inclusive that time but we still wanted to eat out and enjoy the buzz.) This time we are self catering but only for six days so no time to waste.

Looks like we should try to fit in Majestic, Venice, Vinces, Harrys, Loveboat, Lighthouse, Deja Vu.

Have I missed any obvious candidates?

What about Celik Appartments location. Are these suggested restaurants in walking distance (estimates anyone?) or do we need taxis? If taxis how do we get them up to Celik? Any recomendations or anywhere nearer.Very many thanks for your help. XX

Mitos do meals, we have eaten there a few times now, they don't advertise as they don't have many tables out, but if you go in and look to your right there are 4 tables and the food is excellent. I'm fussy but their pizza is lovely, mum has had a few different dishes and never had a bad meal once. Prices are really competitive even although people mainly see it as a chill bar - those cushions are fab
