British Midland

Hi all.

Slightly worried that i cannot find out any information on British Midland flights - i.e. luggage weights (hold and hand), in flight meals, tickets etc.

We booked the flights through Travel Republic, and its the first time we've used anyone like this.

Our Flights are from Manchester and are prefix BD. I've done a search and the day we fly out is definitely British Midlands, i believe Sunday is Onur air..

Any advice would be gratefully received.

20 kg weight allowance on BD flights, no meals included but you have the option to buy snack boxes but cheaper to make your own sarnies and take on board.

we are flying with them on 17th Aug got are tickets via the agent they look like e-tickets but where sent in the post baggage allowance for hold is 20kg dose not state any restriction for hand luggage other than one item each
Meals are buy on board and not included in flight price from what I have been told there is no inflight entertainment

We are flying with BM this Sat 1st Aug from Glasgow. I collected my e-tickets at the weekend and it is 20kg hold luggage. Also it states on my invoice from the company we booked with that in-flight meals are included

We flew with BM from Glasgow last year and are doing the same again this year. The luggage allowance is 20 kgs and we did get a meal onboard . Hope this helps.

I wasn't aware BMI were doing meals on there charter flights to Dalaman, although BMI are not usually a no frills airline, they are providing a no frills charter service for certain travel companies. It's either a print error on your ticket or you've hit lucky and the travel agent you have booked with have a deal with the airline to provide meals to there customers.

I booked my flight last year with ae****flights to fly to Dalaman in June, they chartered the flight out to British Midland, the luggage allowance was 20kg and 5kg hand luggage, we were also given a onboard meal

We flew with British Midland in May from Manchester to Dalaman, no in flight entertainment and no in flight meal,we knew that beforehand. Big plus was the planes were nice and comfy with more leg room than most.

aw that is a real plus to have more leg room as everytime i step onto a plane nowadays i find there is less and less legroom
they are just trying to cram in more and more seats
i would book with them just to get the extra leg room

Just got back (Pretty literally - I'm shattered due to a bog-up by a flight ran by Thomas Cook which I'll stick in a review when I can be motivated).

BMI were great to fly out with, plenty of room, comfortable, no entertainment - but let's face it, in flight entertainment is awful anyway, and unless some airline introduces the stewardesses doing the can-can down the aisles, my opinion isn't going to change.

Would be good to think BMI will continue chartering out planes and staff on the Dalaman route, but as they're soon to be taken over...who knows,

The flight back..............I'll put more about that when I wake up, become more capable of sounding like a sane human (That might be news to wifey anyway), and become less likely to earn myself a banning/black booking/slap bottom from a mod for ranting about how rubbish that certain very well known holiday company's flights contingency plans are

Are ICR using British Midlands for thier customers when arranging flights and if so from which UK airports do they fly from.

yeah ICR sometimes use British Midlands for their customers
when you search flights with ICR and a flight number comes up with BD thats a British Midlands flight
not sure all the airports they fly from but i know they fly from Glasgow

amazing had the tickets a couple of weeks now !
