Best place to go on Icmeler Beach?

Postby 4wilts » 18 Jul 2009 14:15

We have only been to Icmeler once before with friends, heading off on Friday just the family of 4. Where do people recommend to get your sunbeds on the beach and best place for food at lunch times. (That's if we can cope with the heat :? )

Bamboo restaurant is directly on the beach and they also have plenty of sunbeds. It is in a prime location and is always full at lunchtime. I think seeing a bar/restaurant full is enough of a recommendation. Excellent venue for people watching!

Have a lovely time

outside Yakomos where Patrick, Osman and Ibrahim all look after you
They have lilos you can use and keep their bit of the beach spotless

alternatively, the Harmony beach is also good - free but the expectation is that you buy a drink/ice cream/meal while you're there

HI hollander50
I think that's true for a lot of the lads who work the beach, certainly the ones outside Yakamos too
Ibrahim starts blowing his whistle as soon as he sees someone he knows!!
how they always remember people, I'll never know

I think it depends on wether you like a quiet beach or dont mind it a bit crowded. If you are after quiet I would suggest heading left along past the Laguna hotel, there are quite a few area's along there. Some charge a small fee for the beds 2.5lira for the day but there are some free beaches along there also. Just continue walking till you pass the concret pier. Where ever you decide to go I know you will love every minute of your holiday.

Coco Beach is our haunt Messi will look after you. We have been going there for the past 4 years and on our last day last year we got free drinks, free ice cream for the children and a large plate of fruit !! But I will also recommend Yakomoz and they do look after you well there and that is were my in-laws always go. Have fun, it doesn't really matter where you go they are all great people and will welcome you with open arms.

Wow Yakomoz sounds great always have a problem with towels (need a good wash after a few days at beach/pool, def willing to pay to have them washed!! Usually end up buying more (have now got so many towels lol) Where abouts is Yakomoz? First time in Icmeler only 10 days to go till we hit the beach!!

^^ Yep, the 'Harmony' beach is great, as is Jake, their beach boy. He's such a laugh and a seriously nice guy. :-)

Sunbathe outside Coco beach Messi is the top man, but eat in the Erdem cafe, about 10-20 yards away from Coco beach, you can spend about £3 on a chicken donner plate and you probably won't want to eat again all day. :)
