Has any one else encountered problems with courtesy cars from restaurants collecting customers from their apartments/ hotels?

We had hassle from the apartments because now only TAXI'S can collect you.

Has this happened to anyone else? or was it because of where we were staying?

Just wondered

i heard that taxi owners complained to the mayor as freebies were losing them business. If they werent so expensive more would use them, one tried to charge us 20 lira from the titanic back to hotel! thats fine we will tell them to pick us up down the road

Exactly Eric! Anyway, how are the staff at your accommodation to know that it's not a friend you've known for a number of years picking you up/dropping you off?

Always ask the price of the journey before you set off in a taxi.

From the beach to the apartments we were in, in June this year, which was just past the School, it was 6-7 lira. Takes about a 15 minute walk from the beach but its a nice walk.
