Returned Yesterday

Just back last night after another great fortnight in Icmeler, music and dancing is still going on but is quickly turned down if police pass and then quickly turned up again. Stayed at Pinewood apts, not as far back as i thought they were but still a bit too far (for me personally) to the beach, but that is the only negative thing about them, they are a run by a lovely friendly family (Ibrahim and Sempa) who are always tending to the beautiful gardens, all the staff are very friendly and helpful, the whole complex is absolutely spotless, there is always one of the staff walking around the pool area checking that there is no litter or mess. In the resort prices have gone up slightly but it is'nt too bad, if places are getting closed down now for the music being too loud it only seems to be for a day and not 3 as it was in the past, the hassle is virtually non existent. The weather first week was scorching, we were told it was August weather hottest being 47c but it cooled down second week with some nights being very cool and pleasant, exchange rate at supermarket at the bottom of the alley from the Pinewood apts ranged from worst being 2.45 best being 2.51 and 2.50 when we left so it seems to be holding quite steady. Just a word about the webcam i have had a look today and just like before i went on holiday the resort looks desolate, don't worry it's not it's quite busy, in fact strolling on the promenade at night after a meal i can honestly say that i have never seen so many people walking there, also nearly all the bars and restaurants look like they are getting pretty good attendances, so everyone is happy.
