Keeping to plan in Icmeler

Postby helen2904 » 23 Jun 2009 13:18

Hi to all slimmers! Has any of you been able to cope on Slimming World whilst on holiday in Icmeler. I really don't want to put any of the weight that I have lost back on.

Please help if you can!!!!!!!!!! Any tips would be appreciated.

I'm not doing the Slimming World plan at the moment (although I have done in the past) but to be honest, I actually find it much easier to eat healthily in Icmeler than I do at home.
There is so much lovely fresh fruit and veg around which seems to taste so much better than the stuff we get in the supermarkets, and even a lot of the Turkish food isn't that unhealthy. Much of it is grilled or barbecued, which is obviously better for you. I reckon I'd lose pounds if I lived there!

PS: Well, obviously apart from all the calories from the alcohol I might consume...

I actually loose weight on holiday, normally I am sitting behind a desk or driving a car and get very little exercise, Holidays are the opposite, my exercise increases with all the walking, swimming, etc, I'm normally 1/2 stone lighter coming home.

Thank you all for your comments. I usually find that I come back about seven pounds lighter. I also find that I am much more active when I am in Icmeler than when I am at home.

I have only just started on the Slimming World programme and really enjoying it, and would just like to be able to come home having lost a few pounds.

My OH is exactly the same. Efes Efes and more Efes. All day Efes!!!!!!!!! He's even worse when his best mate arrives a week later. Its breakfast at Cafe Rose (Efes to wash it down), stop in the old village in Sinbads for a break (more Efes to wash it down) and finally a walk back to our apartment for another Efes before retiring for a siesta. Then the evening starts with guess what! Yes, I'm sure you got it in one!

Hi Lynne

No doubt the Efes will be flowing in a few weeks. When do you go and where are you staying. We fly out on the 29th July till the 21st August and can't wait.
