When we were in Sarigerme last year there was an earthquake in Rhodes it was about 6.30 in the morning OH and kids slept through it :?
I woke up and didnt know what it was until people were talking about it round the pool

It was a very strange feeling and we only felt little tremors......

We felt the aftershock of earthquake last year in july, woke up with the bed sliding across the floor, looked out and the pool was making waves, nothing could do about it so went back to sleep

we've been fortunate enough to only have experienced the smallest of tremors in Turkey - the sort where you only realise what it is after it's passed

in Cofu a couple of years ago though, we felt one that lasted quite a few minutes
the scariest thing was how all the birds and insects went quiet just beforehand, noticeably so
soooo glad we don't live near anywhere where they are commonplace
